Remember the Angus books or FDR’s Fala? Or more recently, Barney & Miss Beasley Bush? Whatever your first encounter with Scottish Terriers, surely their jaunty stance and stocky body made you smile.

Unfortunately, some of these brave little dogs are dumped on the side of the road, in animal shelters, or their owners can no longer care for them. St. Louis Scottish Terrier Rescue is dedicated to nurturing these dogs and reclaiming the lives of these homeless Scots.

Every dog that comes to us is vet checked, vaccinated, heartworm tested, spayed or neutered, and groomed before placement in a new home. Our "foster parents" work with each dog, whether its needs are leash training, house training, or socialization.

These Scotties become family members during their stay with us, and they take a piece of our heart when they leave us for their new forever homes.

We provide the love and care, but depend solely on adoption fees and donations to provide the funds for vetting, food, collars, leashes, and other essentials.
